Parents are in the best position to guage a child’s speech development. If any sign listed below is noticed, talk to a paediatrician immediately.

Signs to watch out for;

  • Irresponsive to loud signs by two months of age.
  • No cooing sounds by four months of age
  • No production of vowel sounds by six months of age
  • No babble by nine months
  • Does not say simple words like ‘mama’by twelve months
  • Does not say new words by eighteen (18) months
  • Does not make two word phrases by twenty four (24) words
